Tesla has become the most popular car brand globally, ranking as the most frequently Googled car brand for sale in 39 countries. In the United States, Tesla topped the list in 25 of 50 states (see appendix for details) and took the top spot in countries such as Canada, France, Spain, Germany, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, and Scandinavia.
Jeep ranked second in searches, becoming the preferred car brand in 27 countries, including Iceland, Mexico, Argentina, India, and the Philippines. The Jeep's popularity is attributed to its customizability, durability, off-road capabilities, and iconic appearance. Anyone looking to sell a Jeep Wrangler won't have long to wait, with nearly 4,500 online searches for "used Jeep" occurring each month.
Third and fourth places went to BMW and Toyota, respectively.
BMW was the most desired car brand across 20 countries, including the United Kingdom, South Africa, Estonia, and Jamaica, while Toyota was the most searched for in Namibia, Lithuania, and Venezuela. Mercedes-Benz ranked among the top five most desired car brands worldwide, topping the list in 11 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Puerto Rico.
Two iconic supercar brands, Lamborghini and Ferrari, made the top ten list of the most desired cars worldwide. These two brands are associated with exceptional performance, prestige, and luxury, and it's clear that these manufacturers continue to attract car enthusiasts and collectors worldwide. Ferrari was the most searched-for car in Italy, and while no European country ranked the Italian brand Lamborghini as a top choice, four North American countries did: Honduras, the Cayman Islands, Montserrat, and the Dominican Republic.
